Top 5 Film & Television Apps on iOS in Austria - Q1 2022

In Q1 2022, the top five Film & Television apps on the iOS platform in Austria displayed diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here’s an overview of their performance.

Netflix saw its weekly revenue peaking at around $30.6K in early February, with another significant spike to $28.8K at the end of February. Weekly downloads experienced a general downward trend, starting from approximately 9.1K at the beginning of the quarter and reducing to about 4.1K by the end of March. Active users fluctuated, peaking at nearly 295K in late December before dropping to around 246K by the end of March.

Amazon Prime Video demonstrated a steady revenue performance with notable peaks of approximately $17.3K in late February and $13.1K in early January. Weekly downloads showed a declining trend from 5.6K in late December to about 2.4K by the end of March. Active users started at 118K in late December, decreasing to around 87.4K by the end of the quarter.

Disney+ exhibited a strong revenue performance, peaking at $161K in the last week of March. Downloads remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 2.7K and 5.3K throughout the quarter. Active users ranged from approximately 87.5K at the start of the quarter to around 78.3K by the end of March.

JOYN Österreichs SuperStreamer did not generate any revenue during the quarter. Weekly downloads were stable, ranging from around 800 to 1.5K. Active users showed a gradual increase from 1.2K in late December to about 2K by the end of March.

Sky X also did not generate revenue during this period. Downloads decreased from approximately 1.4K in late December to just under 500 by the end of March.
